Established in 2021, Dylan Hansen and The Rough Cuts is a band based in Lloydminster, performing a thorough mix of country, classics, and canadiana. A charismatic Newfie, a redneck flatlander and a hippy hillbilly come together from a diverse background in music to put together a unique sound reminiscent of Steve Earle, Gary Allan, or Tyler Childers. A three piece band composed of songwriters, their set is comprised of mostly originals that have entertained coffeehouses, bars, barns, and cabarets for many years. Rough around the edges, but cut from the finest cloth: Dylan Hansen and the Rough Cuts.”

City of Lloydminster Saddles Up to Host the 35th Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards

Lloydminster, [February 1, 2024] – The City of Lloydminster is thrilled to announce that it will play host to the prestigious 35th Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Awards. Set to take place on the Ulmer Chevrolet stage at the renowned Vic Juba Community Theatre, this marks a historic moment as it is the first time the awards will be hosted in Canada's only border city.
