Reports to: Box Office Assistant
Hours: Dependant on operations (reduced hours June-Aug)


Job Summary: The Box Office Cashier plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and successful operation of our theatre's box office ticket sales and assisting all theatre clients with communications.


Key Responsibilities
1. Client Services:
• Provide general customer service including the sale of tickets through the box office.
• Assist with rental inquiries, applications and collection of insurance and/or damage deposits.
• Maintain client information in ticketing software database.
2. Events:
• Assist with show day operations, ensuring smooth event execution.
• Ensure a knowledge of ticket pricing, event information, and the allocation of specialty ticket requests.
• Assist with volunteer, front of house and concession scheduling.
3. Financial Responsibilities:
• Complete end-of-day box office reports. Reconcile cash balances and till summary reports and produce event reports as requested by the General Manager.
• Run daily websales report.
4. Administrative Duties:
• Maintain a filing system for documentation of box office files. 
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Theatre Manager program.
• Conduct light data entry to maintain accurate records.
• Complete monthly inventory counts for concession.
• Ensure poster boards in upper & lower lobby are current.
• Ensure bar & concession menus are kept current.
• Create promotional materials for bar & concession specials.
• Answer phones and monitor emails.
5. General Assistance:
• Ensure that theatre safety procedures are properly executed.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and safety concerns immediately to the General Manager
• Complete any reasonable duties as assigned by the General Manager to support the theatre's overall operation.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in office management or customer service.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in ticketing software, such as Theatre Manager (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for theatre events.
Working Conditions:
• This role may require extended hours during event days.
• Occasional lifting and moving of equipment may be necessary.
• The role involves interaction with diverse groups of people.
